About the Opportunity

Due to ongoing demand, our client currently has an integral opportunity for a Business Development Manager to join their team in Brisbane, QLD on a full-time permanent basis.

Working collaboratively with the Director and a range of tech experts, you will be responsible for developing and capitalising on new and existing commercial opportunities to drive customer growth. 

Your day to day duties will include, but will not be limited to:

  • Generating and following up on new sales leads and opportunities and proposing/closing new business opportunities;
  • Developing a portfolio of new clients to market a range of products and services to;
  • Maintaining commercially viable and mutually beneficial relationships with existing customers, offering additional services/products to meet their changing needs where possible;
  • Using a myriad of sales and BD techniques to meet monthly/annual targets;
  • Working collaboratively with a dedicated team of secure systems engineers and other professionals; and
  • Delivering a range of regular reports.

About You

To be considered for this position you must have extensive experience in a sales, business development, or account management based position, ideally within the IT industry.

As this is an integral senior position responsible for maintaining and growing all customer relationships, you must be more than a salesperson. Your ability to drive the strategic direction of current, and future customer engagement processes to strengthen brand and reputation will be critical to your success.

Tenacious and driven to exceed set targets, you'll demonstrate an initiative to cultivate and maintain ongoing and mutually beneficial customer relationships, utilising the value of our clients' wealth of industry expertise as the basis for continued customer growth.

Moreover, your ability to think laterally and reflect on your own performance to improve work processes, will help you adapt and develop within this highly autonomous role. You will possess a strong attention to detail, ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and a willingness to engage new sales opportunities both over the phone, via the web, and through face-to-face appointments.

Innovative in thought and thorough in execution, you will also take the lead in developing new marketing techniques to continually increase brand awareness and customer engagement moving forward.
